There's no Medicine to Regrets

This is a story which I find it's worth sharing...
It's from a Professor from a talk show.

Once, there was a boy who was extremely mischievous with horrifying bad temper. Everyone in the family could not hold the boy down, neither will he listens. One day, his father decided to find a way to talk to him...

The father said: " Boy, if anytime you flare your temple, knock a nail into the plank of wood that's on the wall." To take this challenge, the boy agreed. So, everyday, many times a day, he would hit one nail onto the wood once he raised his voice and threw his temple. Days went by...and weeks passed. One fine day, his dad came to him and said: "Boy, did you see how many nails are already on the wood?" To his surprise, it was filled and countless...

So his dad said to him again: " If only you can control your temple, you can remove the nails from the wood one after another?" The boy said with arrogance: "Why not, I will take the challenge." First day, it was real tough...he tried and finally...he managed to pull only one nail out from the wood. Soon after, from one nail to many nails a day, he learned and well enough, he finally managed to control his temple.

Weeks passed. The dad came forward and saw all nails were gone. He told his son: "Now, all nails are gone and I believed you've learned but...can you see what's left on the wood now?" It's full of holes. That's to say, once you raised your voice and throw your temple at someone, even though the matter is over, sadly you've caused hurt and scars behind.

We can't collect back the hurt that has been caused. And, there's no medicine to regrets. So, please...don't hurt anyone.

What's the moral of this story?

We hear, listen and learned from others' experiences. We do not want to live with regrets, so learned to love especially your love ones.

As parent, they love their children and no matter how their children hurt them, they take it. As children, do you do the same too? For all to know, you will become a parent one day or already a parent now. This applies to siblings too...love and care for our brothers and sisters. DO NOT HURT. A simple caring gesture eased everything. Do you or have you been doing anything?

Sometimes, we hurt the people closest to you but...you never get to realise (or even if you know, you might be too prideful to give-in? How much is your pride?). And once you do, it might be too late to regret. It might be gone.

There's a saying...There's no Medicine to Regrets!!!

My Say....To Our Children

Take some time to watch this movie. Slumdog Millionaire.
Good education for the children.

I thought...it's another award winning commercialised movie and their initial promotions trailer (before it's awarded) never aroused my interest. I was having dinner with my friends the other day and we talked about this movie...there were critics and saying, might have some political issues involved.

After watching the movie, it put me into looking life at different perspectives. So children, I hope the movie will educate you in one way or another...

It's the value, culture, your growing-up environment. We are very fortunate...real fortunate we are not going through the life they have...even Singapore back in 30-40 years ago. Can you imagine the people are still staying in slums now? It's a reality.

We are having FUN!!!

To Live and Love

The J's in the family. We've Javier, Josh, Jayden and Jovan. We're all very fortunate children living in a comfortable and cozy environment. So children, please appreciate life, do care and share. We're all in a big family. " )

I was going through my pictures bank yesterday and found many baby pictures of Alston, Malcom, Brosnan and Josh in developed copies. In which many were stored in stripped films. Such a pity, if not, I can load them for all to view. In anyway, I've got many other events coming up...so do enjoy, children!

I'm the eldest and big brother of all children.

Where to begin?

I loved to take pictures especially children. I snapped so many pix of my nephews and one and only niece (so far). My sisters have been bugging me to develop for them but...I dunno where to begin. So....today, I've decided it's gonna be so much easier for them to view my blog. A chance for them to become more internet savvy..." )

I've one little regret...that is, I do not have much pix of Alston. My eldest nephew. Hmmm...at that time, Jean 'ah yi' don't have much money to buy a good digital camera but...remember, I still love you. "-)
